Ruth Andermatt is deeply passionate about catalyzing results in the lives of leaders and entrepreneurs. Prior to making the move to coaching, Ruth developed her approach to leadership over a 15 year corporate career. She began in an entry level sales position and rapidly excelled through a series of achievements and promotions to become the only female Director in the Owned Store Division at Cantel Wireless, leading sales and operations. Her basic leadership philosophy shaped during this time would become the crux of her success for years to come: Meet people exactly where they are in life, and breakthroughs become possible.
At the age of 36, she was offered another promotion but found herself at a crossroad. Ruth re-evaluated her career and realized that what she loved about her job was coaching and directing her team and other leaders to success, to help them produce results while staying true to themselves and their stakeholders. She declined the promotion, left the company and began to dedicate her time and career to leadership coaching.
Since that time she has worked primarily with entrepreneurs and business leaders, those who have reached a plateau in their success because they are personally stretched to the limits. Ruth works with them to optimize their impact, reorganize their personal involvement, to create a sustainable style that supports their business while allowing them to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
“Although her style is direct and no-nonsense, Ruth speaks the truth with kindness and respect in a way that always hits the mark. She has a unique ability to pinpoint her client’s talents and blind spots, in order to create a plan of action to achieve the desired outcomes.” – Client
Today, Ruth strives to embody and share with others this unique way of leading, which she refers to as Intentional Self Leadership. Her aim: to help leaders consistently create ‘alert stillness’, and to operate from a place of peace and ease in the face of challenge and conflict.
