Welcome to an A.C.E. Moment with Ruth,
I love this parable, so I’m just going to jump into it for you.
Two Old Fashioned loggers, hand sawing. The race is who can cut the most rounds of the logs in the allotted period of time
Logger A, convinced he is going to win, saw, saw, saw, with huge sweat equity, carries on. Logger B, saw, saw, saw, but every hour he took a break. At the end of the allotted time, the judge comes out, measures who actually sawed the most logs.
Guess what? It was Logger B, the one who took a break every hour.
Logger A said, “that doesn’t make any sense, I’m the one who was working so hard!”
Logger B said, “Yes, and every hour I took time out to sharpen my saw.”
Thx for joining me.
